Representation Summary:

Yes, Hollington does have great assets in the form of Robsack Wood and Churchwood ancient - listed in this document as one of the most important ecological habitats in town. So WHY is this council determined to build multi storey flats in the middle of this special biodiverse site when their own borough ecologist warned of the devastation any development would cause? The proposals are a blatant example of this council's determination to raise money to the detriment of our important open spaces.Residents in Hollington value these woodlands which date back to the 1600's. They must not be compromised.

Representation Summary:

As the local Councillor I am representing a group of residents who have been in contact with me for many months regarding the inclusion of Robsack A into the DMP. Although I understand that the site has been allocated for Housing since 1970/80's it is important to note it is now understood, that period of time was notorious for bad planning policies. It is believed that this site has been victim to that. It is therefore unsound to include this site without a full evaluation of its environmental value as a whole.
