Hastings Development Management Plan Proposed Submission Version

Representation ID: 5300

Received: 24/01/2013

Legally compliant? Yes

Sound? No

Duty to co-operate? Not specified

Representation Summary:

This document states that these special sites all enjoy existing policy support in the Planning Strategy and further policies are not required in this Plan. However when one looks at the Proposals map and discovers that a development, Robsack "A" is proposed directly in the centre of a local nature reserve and ancient woodland and that this develospment will cut into the ancient woodland wildlife corridor and thence the removal of all the wildlife from the site is advocated, one wonders how any of these Polices can be called effective.They are meaningless when so easily ignored.

Representation Summary:

HBC, Natural England,and NPPF" Ancient Woodlands" policies already shredded by developers' too compliant planning officers.

Even Members representing public interest (23/05/2012, HS/FA/12/00182).

Discussion of Policy NC11, 20 meter buffer-zones, protecting ancient woodland, was guillotined; woodland clearing likened to brownfield-site;
approval carried.

2012 maladministration, 2013 application repeat;

Significant material planning matter of Spyway School's prior 2007 consent across Stone Court, into Olive Lodge, being covertly withheld by applicant developer; never reported by Planning Officer for public and/or Planning Committee scrutiny?

What, in Policy/Plan, do officers propose to police themselves, safeguard protected woodland effectively? NOTHING!
