Fig 2 - The maps are useful but they could serve a second purpose by overlaying areas of high footfall. This would then show how people circulate and help to identify places where circulation is obstructed, places where things are satisfactory and desire lines that show where things might change for the better. One such area would be the station/bus interchange/FE college zone which generates very high levels of pedestrian circulation. This is obstructed by the poor pedestrian crossing arrangements on the corridor to Priory Meadow.
