Development Management Plan Focused Consultation 6th July - 17th Aug 2012

Representation ID: 4627

Received: 13/08/2012

Representation Summary:

While it is noted that part of the Upper Ore Valley site has previously been granted plannig permission for approximately 55 dwellings, there is concern whether this can physically be implemented due to severe level changes on site. The site has the possibility for 4 access points and it is considered that small pockets of development (between 5 and 10 dwellings maximum) from each of them would be most appropriate use of the site although there are reservations of the deliverability of any development from the southeast access point (onto Old London Road) due to land ownership issues.

Development Management Plan Focused Consultation 6th July - 17th Aug 2012

Representation ID: 4629

Received: 13/08/2012

Representation Summary:

Landscape comments - The proposal to protect some of the wooded area in the Upper Ore Valley as part of a strategic GI network is to be welcomed. In order to determine the zoning of this area it is recommended that a comprehensive landscape assessment is carried out.

The opportunity here would be to incorporate some development which would enhance the existing edges of development which back onto the area. The woodland have little value at present as safe and accessible GI for local residents.
