This is not a formal objection (so had to file it as 'support' but we wish to make a comment relating to the supporting Habitats Regulation Assessment that accompanies this document. We note that it has not been updated since the preferred options stage and whilst we accept that the conclusions may be the same we feel that it should be updated so that it is in line with the Planning Strategy. Apologies that this comment is not in the right place but there was no opportunity to comment on the HRA.

The new plan only deals with items within the Borough boundary. The study of the neglect of ancient/preserved woodland and the present position of TPOs will surprise the planning team. The wonderful mosaic pattern of sustainable woodland seen on the woodland rides for quiet recreational pursuits needs urgent restoration and cataloguing. We are fast losing many species of wildlife because of the continuing neglect and destruction of close meadow habitats. At 131 this also refers to 1 of 2 criteria. How will the Development Plan agree this as it refers to land owned by the Council outside the Borough boundaries?
