I wish to object to what is blatant over development .It will encroah on our parking area, our childrens playarea, our light , peace and quite in our back gardens. The entrance slope can not be enlarged and is only a single flow of traffic on a blind corner .Plus a perfectly good scout hall which keeps loads of local children off the street (which was partially rebuilt at a hugh cost only 18 months ago) will be demolished. There are badgers and I didnt think they could be moved ?

Development will adversely affect neighbouring residents, involve the destruction of a well used amenity (scout hut), provide additional late pollution and impact upon wildlife habitats.

A 47
Summary of Response: Use of this site can only be acceptable if an
alternative location for a dedicated centre for the existing Scout Groups
close to this site is located by those wishing to develop. The owner of
this land should be made aware of the importance of retaining recreation
locations for young people or adjust development area to retain a Scouts facility.

I object to this because of the environmental nature of the wasteland and the pleasurable use of it by the public. I think Great Crested Newt surveys should be carried out. I also feel this has not been planned properly due to the parking spaces which the owners of the houses that back onto the area and the garage on the corner LEGALLY own as stated on their DEEDS. Another example of the council trying to push things through hoping no-one will notice or not doing their research properly.

The development will add to the volume of traffic along the Ridge. As congestion increases we are concerned that traffic on the Ridge heading to the A259 or in the opposite direction will cease to use the B&Q junction and use the lanes to join/leave the A259 at the Butchers Lane junction

Representation Summary:

In conjunction with other sites in Planning Focus Areas 1; 4 and 11 development is for a possible 972 residential units, with approx 258 residential units being on the Ridge. That is a considerable number of extra cars accessing and exiting a very busy road. My concerns are the amount of units being proposed and the continued approval for back garden developments.

A47 Rear of Linley Drive As the words 'rear of suggest, this is 'backfill' which is generally a bad idea. 15 units would probably be a bit pokey in scale and thus excessive.

Representation Summary:

Focus areas 1 and 4 propose a total of 520 residences all requiring direct access onto the already heavily congested Ridge Road. This is ludicrous. With the projected increase arising from traffic using the new link road, there will be traffic congestion on a similar scale to that existing on the present A259 route from the western entrance to Hastings.
No further building of residential property should be permitted until a satisfactory solution has been made to the A21 problem.
