Representation Summary:

This site is a valuable open space for local residents - the loss of this site is to be regretted - here again is a plan to take away a valuable amenity from this densely populated area. Any development on this site should be of a far smaller design thereby allowing local families to continue to enjoy this valuable amenity. The current suggestion to provide a zebra crossing on the Crowhurst Road is a seriously dangerous proposal. A far more acceptable crossing would be alongside the One Stop Shop thereby permitting safe access into the woodlands of Churchwood/Robasck Wood.

It would well behove the council to read their borough ecologist's report from 1998 where he stated that no development should take place on this site - eleven pages of contra indications - but this report was never produced when this site came up for planning consideration in 2008 - the application for development was subsequently withdrawn and everyone thought the borough ecologist's recommendations that this site be incorporated into the local nature reserve had been undertaken. There are a many unexplained occurrences related to this site.An investigation is in order here.

Area 2. Site D56 (object)

This area should be kept as a village green and should be developed into a playing area for the kids to play, they don't have anything else to do.

I have visited this lovely area and I cant understand how development could even be envisaged here. I feel it should be included in the nature reserve whiere it should remain forever

Marline Valley Woods SSSI - was in a favourable condition at the last review.

Similarly the impact of housing allocations in the southwest corner of PFA 2 (particularly A04, 22, 26, 27 and D56) on the SSSI needs to be considered

This would be in tune with your amended policy of "Conserving and enhancing protected biodiversity and geodiversity sites and features including Sites of Special Scientific Interest ...."

The site may also be sensitive to air quality and water issues
