Caravan & camping sites - The issue

It is welcomed that the importance of Holiday Parks (Caravan and Camping sites)is recognised for their contribution to tourism. Holiday Parks can often be key to the economic viability of other businesses, jobs are created in rural communities and their customer patronage is often fundamental to the viability of marginal local businesses. Holiday Parks should be encouraged to upgrade, improve layouts / facilities and provide better landscaping. Proposals to upgrade holiday parks, improve the product and encouraging vistors with higher spending power to the area should be supported. This may involve alternative forms of holiday accommodation (lodges / camping "pods").
