Representation Summary:

Policy NC10 has been replaced by Policy EN3 which gives less protection to ancient woodland. Why has Policy NC10 been removed? It is imperative that all the ancient woodlands in this town received the most stringent policies available. We have already witnessed the erosion of our woodlands through inappropriate development and this is unacceptable. Why would any responsible council wish to make the Policies less stringent? Some explanation is required here.A very worrying situation.

Representation Summary:

All to often national guidance is ignored when determining planning applications and is as it says guidance, which is not enforceable. It seems that our green space and ancient woodland is being chipped away at so there is little green space for peoples' wellbeing or enjoyment. Large overcrowded developments are being approved with little amenity space for the occupants. Garden grabbing is the norm in spite of government guidelines against this. One property is being demolished to be replaced with 14 flats, most of which do not even have the facility of a garden.
