How could proposals to build multi storey blocks of flats in the middle of a local nature reserve be acceptable? Yet again we are being promised all manner of wonderful things only to discover that this is not the true picture at all.What positive aspect is shown here?

There should be more emphasis on importance of landscape character and local distinctiveness in defining the need for good landscape design and management for the urban fringes and greenspaces network.
Section does not mention Hastings Country Park and other important accessible woodlands in the town.
More emphasis could also be made of rural fringe areas.

Two further green spaces that should be "designated" are -
1. The entirety of the Convent grounds in Magdalen Rd.
2. Robsack Meadow.
