Representation Summary:

The green space in the Ore Valley needs to be maintained and the land earmarked for development needs to be kept secure and maintained until building starts. This safeguarding needs to start now and cannot be left to the future delivery of housing on the sites.

Representation Summary:

We would like to see the council put an effort into protecting the whole of Ore Valley rather than saying you can have a bit of what is already available as an open space and we will allow huge blocks of flats on the remaining space. Does regeneration mean (to you) knock down the historic and replace with blocks of flats or replace the ghyll woodland with blocks of flats?

Pebsham Countryside Park (PCP):

Because of its recreational, amenity and educational potential, HUB, local community groups and others wish to create new walking and cycling connectivity to the PCP, as a sustainable alternative to existing routes shared with existing roads.

Whilst the Sustrans NCN2 provides a seaside link to Pebsham, the Hastings Greenway project develops a series of urban neighbourhood links that connect to PCP using the Greenway town centre loop (L1) and other radial Greenway Links.
