ESCC wish to develop a pro-active health agenda for Hastings in partnership with HBC and others. This includes a strategy for preventive and remedial health support, especially in deprived areas. aimed at reducing obesity, mental health problems, and other health related issues.
The Hastings Greenway project supports this Health & Wellbeing agenda by creating new amenity walking and cycling links in an attractive linear-park based setting. Current liaison with ESCC aim to create mutual support based on a Greenway partnership.

Clearly we must provide for education of our children, but otherwise we should aim for upgrading facilities we have rather than building more, (exception being local health centres).
