There should be library provision in Central St Leonards greater than the weekly/fortnightly visits of the mobile library, which hardly anyone knows about.

ESCC has a statutory duty to provide library and information services. Across the Hastings area we provide a variety of services via a network of static libraries, mobile libraries and a mobile office. The proposed level of housing within the Core Strategy will have an impact on existing service delivery. Options for the most effective way to provide library services should be considered, and the potential to provide access to services in different and innovative ways should be investigated. The Library and Information Services may also wish to enter into partnerships with developers, schools, community & retail centres and others.
