There is a case to be made to make separate provision of swimming facilities for schools, families with children, swim clubs, etc. so that adults needing to swim to maintain fitness can access the main pool at any time throughout the day, instead of only at limited times, requiring knowledge of a complex timetable.

There are no sports areas or facilities across most of south St Leonards. There is nothing between The Oval/White Rock and the bowling greens at Grosvenor Gardens, while the Bulverhythe playing fields, which are smelly, and flood, are not convenient for large parts of the area. This is talk of introducting 'beach gyms' - but not beyond the pier. This is unacceptable. We are part of the town, and deserve a fair share of facilities.
