Representation Summary:

Being a life member of St.Helens Park Preservation Society it is of great concern that Area 4 has been designated St. Helens Wood especially when you have the proposed dwelling potential of 190/290 units. Presumably the actual land involved has been identified so why has this not been put into the the HLDF document, so as to guarantee that none of the preserved area will be compulsory purchased for development of any kind.
As you would get many objections from the 500 plus membership and the thousand or so residents who use and enjoy this wonderful area.

Representation Summary:

I find the proposal for the housing development of 190 -290 houses in this area difficult to understand. I cannot see any way this number of houses can be built without a major impact on the current natural enviroment and the wildlife of the area. It would also seem to be in direct conflict with sections 4.17,4.18 and 4.19 of this report.

Representation Summary:

I am concerned that the level of housing proposed in planning focus area 4 could have an adverse impact on St Helen's Wood. This is ancient woodland and as such is a fragile ecosystem which needs protection in the widest sense.

Representation Summary:

I am Events Secretary for St Helens Wood Preservation Society. We have over 500 members that would object very strongly to the proposed development of up to 290 dwellings in St Helens Woods focus area and to any compulsory purchase of land and to any adverse effects upon it or upon the access to the public area of open space and natural beauty.
