Because of its linear-park like connective links the Greenway project can help with urban biodiversity. Part of the Greenway agenda (where possible) includes new Hedgerow Planting, and new aquatic habitats. Community aspirations for the protection and management of Speckled Wood aim to develop this neglected urban green space as essential community infrastructure
